How to Play: Pick Up Sticks Rules
1. Setup
Hold all sticks in one hand vertically above a flat surface. Release them so they fall into a loose pile. The sticks should land randomly and overlap each other.
2. Objective
Players take turns removing sticks from the pile one at a time without moving any other sticks. The goal is to collect the most sticks by the end of the game.
3. Gameplay
-
On your turn, carefully remove one stick from the pile.
-
If any other stick moves while attempting to remove one, your turn ends immediately.
-
Successfully removing a stick allows you to continue removing additional sticks until you make a mistake.
Scoring (Optional)
- For casual play, each stick can be worth one point.
- For traditional scoring, different colored sticks may have different point values.
4. Winning the Game
The game ends when all sticks have been removed. The player with the most points (or most sticks) wins.
